The University of Latvia has the pleasure
to invite you to the 3rd
International Conference on "Integrative approaches towards
sustainability" to be held in Jūrmala,
Latvia, 27 – 30 June, 2012. The strategic focus of the Conference is:
Science
for sustainable development and the knowledge based economy.
The Organising Committee of the Conference will support
the participation of 20 young students/researchers in the POSTER SESSION of the Conference.
The POSTER SESSION is organized under
the following 4 themes:
A: SOCIAL CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY AND
ENVIRONMENT.
B: SCIENCE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.
C: SMART FUTURE MANUFACTURING AND ZERO EMMISSION CONCEPT.
D: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, KNOWLEDGE SOCIETY AND KNOWLEDGE BASED ECONOMY.
To apply for a Grant, young students/ researchers should submit a 250-word
abstract within one of the 4 Poster Session themes. Selection will be made by
the International Project board on the basis of the scientific profile of
candidates and of their respective home institutions, and according to
principles of equal opportunities among candidates. The deadline for
applications is 15 April 2012. Authors of the accepted abstracts will be
notified after 30 April 2012. Participants are requested to submit the abstract
electronically (*.rtf format) to the Conference Secretariat (dinab at
latnet.lv).
According to the FP7 Programme, a young researcher is a person who
undertakes research activities either on a professional basis or in the context
of a PhD/Master/Diploma course or up to 6 years after completion of a PhD.
The selected candidates will be reimbursed economy travel costs for the
cheapest (price/time ratio) transport serving the route. Accommodation costs (in double rooms) and the conference fee will
be covered directly by organisers.
